PCs are generally powerful, fast, and pretty comfortable to use, but they can also be expensive and burdensome to maintain compared to their nimbler mobile counterparts. This isn’t a yet another “PCs are dead” post. We recognize that there is a sizeable chunk of working populace who still need them for one reason or another. You just might not be one of them. And this matters because this group of people is growing rapidly!

We can blame tablets and smartphones, of course, which now enable us to do a pretty wide range of things we could previously only do on PCs. Most typical activities for every day users involve getting on the internet and social networks, sharing, chatting, reading articles, watching movies, listening to music, sending an email or two and so on. All of these are not only doable on a tablet, but arguably much more comfortable to do on a tablet than on a desk chained PC or an unwieldy laptop PC.

Don’t you mean “Desktop”? Laptop/Notefooks are really PC’s too. As I know it PC stands for Personal Computer – even Google agrees.
