Adobe Flash Player is a high-performance, expressive client runtime software that delivers great digital experiences to end users. These days, Web sites are built in Flash, and individuals need to have Flash Player installed on their computers to render Web sites. Adobe releases new versions of Flash Player at regular intervals, and end users are required to update the installed player with the latest version. The install procedure is simple, but sometimes Flash Player may not install and work correctly.
Some of the factors to be considered are the following:
- In order to install/update Flash Player correctly, ensure that you completely remove the previous version. Go to My Computer and open the Add/Remove Programs window from the Control Panel. Uninstall everything related to Flash Player.
- Ensure you’re using the latest version of the browser. Sometimes, Flash Player is not installed if the browser is not the latest one.
- Ensure your firewall is not blocking you from downloading and installing Flash Player. Adjust the security settings of the browser so as to allow it to download and install Flash Player.
- Ensure that the Windows registry is up to date and has no errors.
- Ensure that you are not running any application that is blocking Flash Player. Applications like Spywarebaster and Freesurfer are known to block Flash Player.
If the “installation complete” video is played and Flash Player still refuses to work correctly, go through the before mentioned steps to fix the problem.

In my case (Windows XP SP3) I had to totally uninstall Flash Player with a combination of their uninstaller found here https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html then search the HDD for any folders containing “Macromedia” and delete them, then do the same search for “Macromedia” in the registry and remove all references; I find “Registrar Lite” to be the best registry editor for this. Then once that is finished go here https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.html scroll to the bottom of the page under the (Still Having Problems ?) section and look for the download of flash player for your browser, once downloaded just run the installer and it works.

i struggled numerous times and finally got it to install by using 3rd party installer. after i had removed all adobe, the next website that said i needed it, installed from that link, Voila! same problem with Reader. same fix. xp home, comodo av

I install flash player and it works, when I shutdown the laptop and turn it on again, the flash player don´t work and it’s necessary install it again, I’m using W7 and IE 9. Is there hope to put this work?

hi ive tried up to 15 times to install flash player but the final hurdle it stopps saying download timed out

Adobe Flash is trying to be smarter than everybody else. When I install it I am immediately carried to a page where Adobe requests the amount of $9.95 for some sort of program that I do not want or need and when I opt out of that offer Above quickly removes flash. They should stop offering Adobe Flash for “free” because that is simply a hoax perpetuated by Adobe Flash.
