    4. Modify Computer Power Settings to Maximum Performance

    Another common method to improve computer performance on a Windows computer is to change the power settings to “Maximum Performance.” Although this setting has the largest hit on the computer’s battery life, it will provide a slight boost to the overall computing power of the computer. To modify the settings, select the Windows “Control Panel,” “System and Security,” and “Power Options” menu choices. Then, select the dropdown arrow located on the right side of the screen and choose the “High Performance” menu option. Once the setting has been configured for maximum performance, reverse the steps if there is not a sufficient performance gain realized out of the computer.
